Thanks!
I played a couple of minutes with them and there are a couple of things I don't like about them:
I. Saracen gets that Followers... but that's all. He feels kinda empty. Perhaps that Followers should not be sold to slavery, but I think Saracen should have an extra ability that would allow him to use that Followers. And maybe one more extra ability. His current abilities are pretty conditional:
1) In a normal game there are only 2 Desert spaces. With Firelands some more, but they not always will appear, and players not always will play with Firelands.
2) The more the enemy character has Followers, the better chance to steal something. But if enemy character has just a couple of Followers, our chances to use this ability are pretty slim.
3). This ability has any use only on spaces where we draw more than 1 cards which are pretty rare and usually we're able to encounter all of the cards on that space, and on spaces where dead characters left their stuff and something like an Enemy protects them. Not to mention that Followers in general are pretty rare cards to appear, so the usage of this ability is pretty limited.
For these reasons I feel that Saracen should have an ability that will be less conditional.

II. This character also feels that he needs another ability.
1) The first ability should allow us to choose whether we want to deal a crippling blow, or not. Sometimes for us would be better not to slow down our enemies.
2) This ability is pretty conditional, and doesn't give much. All he can do is jump 1 space more instead of attacking a character. Perhaps he at least should be able to jump when he is about to encounter an Enemy too, so at least he will be able to use this ability to evade some enemies.
3) This ability means that he always has a permanent sword. And that's all. I feel that his starting attributes should not be lowered to 3 and 2 just because he has a sword he can always use. Once he will get a normal sword or anything else, this ability will be pointless.

Original Martial Artist had a killer blow ability, and I think it should return too. Maybe not as a "1-4) You lose" but rather as "1-4) Nothing happens, continue the battle as normal", but it should return.
He could use something else, like maybe starting the game with a shield perhaps?
Not a huge advantage, but fairly handy in early game.
Martial Artist could use another bonus ability I think.
Heroic leaping is handy now and again, slowing someone with crippling blow is pretty good, but perhaps he should be allowed to have his killer blow back if he chooses.
Maybe if he rolls a 6 for his attack roll it is classed as a killer blow and his opponent cannot use Armour to prevent the loss of life?
His Weapon bonus is nice too, though I think he should be his original S3/C3.

I don't think the Martial Artist should be able to Heroic Leap in this instance, since the Spiteful Imp says you must encounter the other character, but I'm not certain about this.

For the Saracen Recruit ability, perhaps making the Follower roll not based on the number of total Followers the opponent character has, but instead have the roll based on the Saracen's Strength Value. "Roll a die and if the roll is equal to or lower than your Strength Value then you can take 1 Follower of your choice." This way, it can be equally useful no matter if the opponent has few or many Followers, and is equitable in both early and late game. I would also suggest lowering Craft to 2. To go along with the "Followers are Encounter number 1" ability, perhaps allow them to draw an additional card for each Follower that is drawn?
For the Martial Artist, I think going with S3/C3 would be better, since I see little reason for them to be low Craft. Also, I would make the Weaponless Battle bonus be +2 to Strength instead of +1. This would make them equal to the Monk, in that they have a little less bonus but do have the option to switch into a Weapon should they want to do so. To help balance this, you might consider lowering Fate to 2.
AI improvements for the new characters
Martial Artist now has Strength 3/Craft 3
Martial Artist has a +2 modifier when fighting without a weapon instead of +1
Saracen starts with a Shield
Have a play and see what you think of these changes.

I saved and redid the turn, ditching the Wooden Stake before moving. When encountering the Herald this time, I had my battle bonus of +2.

It seems the game is assuming you always want to use a Weapon like other characters, but in this characters case, you often will not want to do so. Perhaps add a button on the right for "Use Weapon", so the default for the Martial Artist is no Weapon, but if you have them in the inventory and press the button, then you can select their use. This method would be quicker than always popping up the Weapon options as is done with the Green Slime Enemy in the Dungeon.
