When i graduated from high school my parents offered to buy me a holiday abroad. I declined and asked for a copy of "Soundtracks for the Blind" instead. Somehow it all makes sense: Years of rough studies and training behind me, I was now ready to embrace the real thing. When I got the album I spent several days avoiding the enormousness of it all. At some point I did listen to it and still remember the feeling I got: The world would never be the same again, the naive childhood days of pre-soundtracks era were over.

Not that bad, but a major let down compared to the first grindcore album I listened to, World Downfall. There are some cool tracks on this album, but I didn't enjoy the album overall. World Downfall has great thick vocals. This album's vocals are whiny. World Downfall's drum playing and drum production is impressive. On this album, the drum playing is impressive, but, as mentioned before, the drum production is pretty bad. World Downfall's lyrics are great, this album's lyrics are just for shock value. Also, World Downfall was released in 1989, way before this one. I don't like to compare albums from different bands, but World Downfall has showed me that there is way better grindcore out there than this.
