Hello @everyone. I hope you all have been safe during the pandemic going around in the world. It has been a while so here's a new announcement so I don't leave you guys hanging. My plans for the new {SuN} servers are essentially complete so I guess it's time to fill you all in.

Let's get straight to the point. The re-launch of {SuN} (aka {SuN} Revived, {SuN} 3, etc etc. I'm just going to call it {SuN} from this point on) will bring two new TF2 servers, a new website, and a redesigned Discord server with a fully-featured custom bot. Unlike {SuN} Revived where the focus of effort was spread out to places such as Minecraft servers, this {SuN} will be focused 90% on our Team Fortress 2 servers to appeal to the majority of our members. So, why two TF2 servers?

The first TF2 server will be a recreation and reimagination of the Sun City server. Of course, it will still be a trade/event/sandbox server. However, it will feature a brand new map. The map will be structurally similar to the old Sun City map. It will feature a new appearance, gameplay changes, optimization, new secrets INCLUDING a new huge easter egg to replace the old spy shop maze, a new TFS area, and hopefully a more appealing city area. The plugin system will be revamped as well. The SuN bank system will be converted into a 'coins' system giving each singular monetary unit more value. There will also be new events as well as old events. There will be a !friendly plugin as popularly requested so that people can build in peace as there will no longer be team-based TFS areas due to lack of use. There will be a new TFS plugin that has more features, anti-prop-blocking measures, and more props as well as buyable prop packs. There will be a 'store' plugin to manage your 'inventory' of items that you can still purchase around the map as well as some being purchasable within the menu (maybe to the latter). This inventory can hold beacons, tags, name colors, chat colors, character models, and more. Obtaining coins will be a little different from the old {SuN} cash system, such as a rare drop from killing players, winning events, finding them around the map, etc. We may also implement battle-pass style challenges that last weekly, monthly, etc to create incentives for players to get on the server and do certain tasks. This server is what over 50% of my efforts and resources are going into. Unfortunately, it will be a long time in the works because the map maker I was planning to hire is currently busy with other projects. However, I can trust the quality of his maps way over my newbie map-making skills. This is all I'll reveal for this server for now.

As for the second TF2 server, it will be an unusual trade server. It will run on an extremely upgraded and revamped version of the old sun_trade map that may or may not feature a TFS area. This map will also feature spycrabbing and mass-crabbing rooms that will be operated using a similar event plugin and custom spycrabbing plugin. I may link the store/inventory plugin over to this server as well. This means that any perks that you unlock from the Sun City server, such as beacons, chat colors, etc, etc, can be used on this server. It might be interesting to allow certain perks to only be purchasable on this server, however, I have no plans of this at this time. So, why an unusual trade server? Well, there are only two other ones out there that have any popularity. I'm personally pretty interested in unusual trading, and I thought it would give the old sun_trade map a purpose.

The website will (hopefully) fully custom coded instead of running on WordPress. The Discord server will be redesigned and feature a new and useful bot that will have some interaction with the TF2 server (such as typing a lot to get a coin, showing server stats, etc). In the backend, there will be more security such as DDoS protection, frequent database backups, and whatever else I can learn to incorporate.

As for the administration, it will be completely reset. As of the server launch, the only staff will be Colgate, KTM, and I. I'm keeping those two because they were the old owners of {SuN} at one point so it would be wrong to not keep them (unless they don't wish to return as staff members, not pushing anything onto them). Moderator applications will be open day one. The 'elite' rank will be renamed to head administrator. I will either keep trial moderator and try creating a bigger difference between mod and admin OR get rid of trial mod and limit moderators more. There will be a logging plugin keeping track of each staff member's actions to ensure there will be no abuse of power. I plan to add a warning system as well. There will also be some rules changes that I can say now: we will operate similarly to the Vatican City servers if you have ever played on those. What I mean by that is you can say whatever the ♥♥♥♥ you want as long as you respect the other rules and aren't a complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Trade advertisements will take priority on the mic on the unusual trade server and probably on the regular server as well.

That's pretty much it for now. I don't believe I have much more I can say. The majority of the wait time for the new servers is based upon how long the map-maker will take to be available and then finally work and finish on the map. Therefore if anyone knows a TRUSTY and SKILLED map-maker I can contact feel free to DM me. If you have any ideas or suggestions, DM me.
