Summer Badges and Points

I'm a bit annoyed at the way the points are awarded to summer badges. Is it is, someone who is on the red team and contributed 0 points to their team gets 150 XP while someone who was on any other team and contributed many points only gets 100 XP. There should be some sort of bonus to people who actually got points for their team. Make the formula something along the lines of

XP = X +log(points earned) * 10

If red X = 150
If not red X = 100

I know this doesn't solve the issue of the people on red getting more XP than the other teams unless they earned 100,000 points, but it would at least give some consideration to the people who actually helped their teams.

Also, the base XP should be days won * 50. Because I'm on pink and blah blah blah 3 days.

The xp you get from one lousy badge in the end isn't even a problem to get upset by.
Especially from a 'fairness' point of view, considering all the other concerns one could have with this whole debacle. :)

Sooo the amount of XP from crafting the badges to get the points wasn't enough.. must have more for a freebie badge?

I agree that the XP itself is inconsequential, but it would be nice to have some acknowledgement of effort put it. Nothing to rage about, but a pat on the back for effort would be nice.

It at least says how many points you supported your team with. That ought to be more than enough. ;)

so.. you want a 50*days won(pink team) + in xp. In which you contributed a whole total of 34 points for your team? well played sir, well played.

Yeah but you need to scroll over or click the badge to see that. I want people to know how awesome I am by just glancing at my badge.

Using his equation, he'd get 115 XP
Palm would get 195 XP

It is so insignificant in the long run anyways. It -might- push you over a level combined with the games owned badge. Extra work. Not really worth it really.. especially how Steam's rounding system works.

It was 100 + log(34)*10 = 100 + 1.5*10 = 115

Uh...I'm pretty sure somebody had to contribute some form of points to get the badge and XP boost. Or not...I could be wrong but I think you had to contribute at least one point to your team.

Besides, does it really matter? Unless an event like this utilizes badges, xp, and cards to some other extent they're pretty much worthless.

I contributed 235 points over the event and still got 100 xp just like everyone (contributed or not).

so.. you're annoyed that you got a badge that you were not expecting to get at all to give you some free XP on your account but someone may have spent next to nothing and got one too? wow.

mostly they mad about red team badge because they getting more exp then other team badge some on red team never crafted any badge and got the 150 exp where other team who crafted alot only get 100 exp really tho I wish I know there was going to be a team badge I jump to purple i like purple to late now.
