I can definitely agree. I’m hoping they don’t lean too much into bringing more characters back. It was fine for the first season but i could see it get annoying

I totally agree about the Picard writers bringing characters back only to use them to rip our hearts into tiny pieces. (JUSTICE FOR ICHEB) A part of me wants that DS9 cameo SO BAD, but there's a small sad corner of my brain going "They're gonna call in Garak only to have him get his head chopped off an episode later and you know it."

As for Seven, I don't really mind what they did with her. I also think the relationship with Raffi was just out of nowhere, but I'm saving my criticisms of it until next season in case they decide to add some backstory about how it happened rather than "Oh look, these two are suddenly a thing now, just because we need at least one stable romance on the show."

But I'm happy for Jeri at least, she pushed pretty hard during Voyager to give Seven an LGBT angle that they didn't allow, so it's good she's getting some say in how her character's portrayed.

@PVVT_Wilson nice! Voyager is a good one. We never watched it much when I was younger and it was still on the air but I have fond memories of coming back home from college courses and watching reruns every day.

I have mixed feelings about that one- Look at what we have so far (sorry, spoiler ahead):

Picard- Screwed him up / Killed him / Brought him back as a magic android
Icheb- Brought him back for gore's sake and killed him
Hugh- Brought him back and as soon as we love him again, they kill him needlessly
Seven- Didn't like what they did with her either, plus now she's Raffi's girlfriend out of left field?

I don't want this writing team anywhere near my beloved DS9

I hope so! I'd be happy with just some DS9 cameos on Picard at this point. They've got TNG and VOY covered, but c'mon we gotta have some love for the best series
