So tell me If I got you wrong but you say it is an impossible situation for Valve to sell themselves to Microsoft?

First, it is a rumor about a Microsoft offer, not even talks, just "what they think to offer"
Second, it is probably the stupidest rumor I've heard, Gabe would never sell Valve to any other company, even when he is gone, his second hand has exactly the same mentality about the independence of Valve.
Third, 16 billions is probably a joke, it is estimated that Valve made 13 billion in 2022, probably a lot more last year, there's absolutely no reason to sell a company for a price you can get almost without do anything in a year.
and fourth, people must be stupid enough to think that a person with a personality like Gabe would be tented by more money, he already has everything. (except a dinosaur, of course.)

I doubt this anyways. They are already having issues with the purchases they made anyways, they more than likely would not be dumb enough to waste more at a time like this on Valve.
