Community Portal 2 Maps
Has anybody been playing with the Portal 2 in-game map editor? It appears to be fully functional in the current Portal 2 beta and I'd love to see what people within the Linux using community have been able to come up with.

We've also had a successful community mapping challenge (maps from that are contained in the collection below).

I've made a "Steam Workshop Collection" thingy that I'll add everybody's maps to for easy subscription:

Note that subscribing to all items in the collection only subscribes you to items in the collection at that time, so continue checking back for additional items!

To kick things off, here are three maps that I've made previously using the in-game map editor (I'm still trying to find time to make something interesting under Linux).

A simple sequential jump pad test

An easy puzzle

A more complex puzzle

A really simple puzzel that got too complex later on during the design of it.

Here's a second map I just put together this afternoon

Rake: I felt like I missed out on half of your map's gameplay. I got to the exist using nothing but the light bridge and the excursion funnel. It's a good start though!

pabloandnene: I played your first map. It's nicely structured and has a nice puzzle feel (unlike mine, which are mostly just experiments). Looking forward to checking out your second map!

I had a go at trying to create a co-op map yesterday, but it timed out whilst generating the lightmap, so either the editor has problems, or I need to rethink my design :D

Thanks Cheeseness! Both levels started kind of off the cuff - I didn't have a grand plan on what I wanted, but I was pretty pleased with them. I had my son try them out and it's fun to see how he solved the second one differently than I had planned.

This medium-sized map should provide an entertaining challenge for experienced players.

For anybody who hasn't spotted, we're running a two week Portal 2 mapping challenge \o/

With the mapping challenge over, I've added all the maps created for that to the collection in the first post. I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of new maps get inspired by the outcomes of the mapping challenge :D

For a moment I thought this said "Postal 2" and expected to be able to shove a shotgun up a penguin's butt. Never mind.

Oh well, thanks for keeping this old thread pinned here so I could make that joke!
