The official Steambans.com Steam Community Group. SteamBans.com is a brand new service based on an old concept. Global ban lists have been active for years on the old WONID program from VALVe. When the change came to STEAMID it fell natural for us to develop a service specially minded to this new system. But we also wanted more.

Steambans closing down

With this message I want to let everyone know that after months of thinking, we have finally decided to stop Steambans. Due to the lack of active development, less active communities and new services available on the internet by both Valve and others Steambans is no longer of use and is just staying there as a website that gets older and older not making anyone happy.

We want to thank you all for the years we have helped making the HL1/HL2 based games cheat free, our partners and all communities. As of today we have closed the Steambans service down and will forward it to one of our other projects: Sourcebans.net.

I want to thank all the staff and everyone that helped Steambans in the past and wish you all best of luck in the future.

Hello community,

With our new plugins sbsrv/sbsrc 4.4.0 we are going to reopen the submissions.

We highly recommend to update the plugin version in all SteamBans.com protected servers and please keep in mind that a server restart is required after installation!

Nonetheless. we will still accept demos which include a sb_status from version 4.3.0 (SBSRV) and 4.3.1 (SBSRC) for a while.
