they have a no warning no tolerance policy so any rule break is jsut a permaban, and trying to make a new account to obey the rules is ban evasion and you get an ip ban

Also regarding multiplayer coop mode, someone would have to patch up the bugs or else coop mode isn't gonna be fun....

Has anyone discovered a mod or means to alter character traits? I'd like to start small by attempting to give Maya the nimble trait, making her more befitting of a soldier, while keeping her in par with the other protagonists.

@Phacops I downloaded CryEngine from crydev.net and got it working but I cant figure out how to open the mission_mission0.xml file into it.

@Ardman - mission_mission0.xml - time of day and lighting; most easily done through CryEngine editor in the time of day settings. Change gradients, HDR, fog, Sun rays, etc.

Anyone know how to edit the sky and lighting? In my honest opinion the orange tint and white cloudless sky get annoying after a while. A walking dead look would be cool. Normal, grey / blue / yellowish tint and a blue sky with maybe clouds on it. Is that possible?

What programs are best to use when opening files for this game? are there any editiors around that are made for the game if so where can i find them.

Great group by the look of it. Just a simple question, or maybe not so simple. How hard would it be to change/do the following:
1)Stack size of ammo in your inventory
2)Bring in new bags that are not the pitiful 8 slot max, but something like 12 or 16 slots.
3)Fix the issue where any ammo above 60 rounds, in your stash, after a restart of the game, disappears. I had 120+ rounds of 9mm. Made sure it saved, exited, and came back a bit later to 60 rounds only. This happened with 45 and 22 also.
4)Enable you to actually LOAD Rucksacks into a pickup.

Those things are really killing the game for me at the moment due to how mind numbingly retarded the current situation on those above items is.

I found out the breakdown challenge is saved on State of Dcay\Game\UserState-dlc.cfg

so..what is Usersate.cfg for? I ran the game without loading anysaves UserState.cfg still be updated

I'm not a real modder, to tell you the truth I'm not even sure where to start really, but I'm a beginning player and I have grown increasingly frustrated with the zombie population in State of Decay. It seems like no matter how many I kill, everytime I log on there are tons more. I was wondering if there was a mod that decreased the amount of zombies that respawn. I mean this is supposed to be a small town, not a metropolis.

I have been trying to figure out how to mod because I am trying to add more food items to the game for further realism and to make it more interesting as there are only three stamina recovering "foods" in the game. I thought about replacing some of the medicines that recover stamina with food items or just adding my own. Either way, it would be great to walk into a house and find cans of food items to make it seem like your actually trying to survive. I was wondering if there was anyone that could help me out because there are a few things I don't know how to do. Like repacking and cutting out the icons in the game to replace them or overwrite them with my own images. Also, how to rename items or implement all new ones. I've figured out where to edit current icons in the UI folder just like the character editing, but that's as far I've gotten.

With cheat engine there is a lot you can do, http://www.cheatengine.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=5497510&sid=58cbf09a334cf129a62c27cebdef3956 , But using the V2 Friends ( Which raises everyone to friendly status with you) Changes character models. Now at one point I found a mod that can restore all characters to their original skins, and even start them with backpacks. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

has anybody tried modding the save file?, searched around the internet and cant find any for pc.(i'm just looking for a save at the curch with marcus max leveled and a couple thousand influence)

Well I'm not sure exactly how much an improvement that would be, seeing as the .dds files are kind of a small size already, and you can force the texture resolution down with the config so there is not much to do there.

Just wondering if anyone has thought about a texture optimizer like this one
