Not to mention this seems exactly like the software microsh!t would disable and cite it as "malware"
Of course. Right now there isn't any comprehensive solutions.
Mine will be: Better, easier to use, fully supported (meaning updated often), waaaaaaaaaaaay more features, created from a legitimate and trusted source. Also, and this is very important, my software is fully legit. As in, no breaking EULA, no breaking TOS, fully AOK to use. This means no backlash from Microsoft, etc.
Plus mine will be sold via Steam.
Pre-ordering something unknown I don't know if I'd put out more than $5-$10 without more details.
*EDIT*: The more I think about it, and that Tim describes it (those 'more details' i mentioned initially), I do realize how many odd security-related issues Windows10 has, and think this does have more value. So yes, I would pre-order it for the $15.
Think about it like this: Right now there are a lot of things needing to be changed. We are talking dozens of things. It'll approach likely 100 tweaks soon. Things that can't even be done via normal Windows (requires registry changes, policy changes, service changes, software security changes, escalation modifications, network interruptions, etc). To think that an average person can do all those things, and stay on top of new things, is a pretty far stretch.
My software will fix all these privacy issues + Windows 10 tweaks + Also monitor if those things change. For example, if Windows deploys a patch which re-enables something, my software would disable it again and alert you that it was re-enabled.
For those who haven't jumped onto Windows 10, or don't know much about it yet, do this: Google Windows 10 privacy
Read the links. ALL the links. You'll be shocked (in the least).
Like what? I haven't exactly gone digging for any, but I haven't run across any nor have I had any recommended on forums like gamefaqs...
<3 j00! :D no homo
As with everything else online, there is always bits and pieces of things here and there, from various people, trusted or not, with varying levels of support, with varying risks of using those pieces of software, let alone with various states of availability.
The point of what I am doing is this: To build an extremely comprehensive, featureful, extremely functional, super easy to use, and fully supported piece of software. Nothing exists that does this as of yet, not even remotely close, and even if there was multiple software pieces that were excellent in support, functionality, and user ease, the fact that competition breeds excellence will cause the better software to prevail.
My software is extremely easy to use, fully supported, FULLY LEGIT (this is important! No EULA/TOS breaking stuff), and has some pretty damn good features that will only get better over time.
I'm putting together a shell of a website tomorrow. When I have that ready then I'll post some screenshots :)
