Hello. I just joined. I have 5 direct ancestors that were in the Union Army. One was a Captain in the 60th Illinois Inf., one was a 1st Sergeant in the 26th New York Cav. and was also a Private in the 10th US Inf., one was a Corporal in the 42nd Illinois Inf., one was a Corporal in the 138th New York Inf. and the 9th New York Heavy Artillery (same regiment different name), and one was a Private with the 4th Illinois Cav. and transferred to the 12th Illinois Cav.

I also live very close to several Civil War battlefields, and I've been to each several times. (South Mountain, Sharpsburg, Gettysburg, etc.)

I had an anscestor (don't know exactly how he is related) who served in the 1st WV Cavalry. I am preparing to join a reenacting group of the regiment, and I own a regiment on M&B representing the same unit. (I had to shut down my previous unit)

hi all =) I am currently developing an 1800's period western game concept, whilst the internet is a great resource for historical information it would be most beneficial to meet people with a passion for that period in American history' here's a link to the concept thus far http://www.moddb.com/forum/thread/1800s-gunfighter-simulationsour ce-mod-concept anyone with hands on experience with cap and ball revolvers would be most helpful, thanx

Hello all, I hope we can have an event in the next couple of months, ONE SO BIG IT EVEN BLOWS MY MIND!
Doc Chase 26 apr, 2009 @ 15:03
Sorry partners for not being at the Zombie Panic meeting. I first off, do not have the game, haha, and second, I just got home from my Caesars Creek event, battalion drill event. Just drilling. Boy-oh-boy thet weight of that musket after doing a literally whole-night's worth guard-mount (picket duty). Marching all day in the heat, no clouds, bright sun, and when not marching, we're holding our tents from blowing apart, 80-90mph winds on Saturday!! :O

Good to mee y'all.
