No way to dispute bans? [Suggestion]
Sorry to take up anyone's time, and an entire discussion post, but I genuinely feel this is an issue that warrants it. I was recently banned from the group's Minecraft survival server. Now, I'd rather not dive into the details however, as I feel that it'd be rude to the server mods. I feel I've already said enough about my ban, as this should really be between the 'banner', and the 'banee'.

But unfortunately, I've been unable to find out who said mods are(if I remember correctly, there was a list of names of the mods on some signs in the starting building (said building and the rest of the city is quite awesome btw! ^3^ ), but now I can't access said signs, because of reasons ;w; ), and I also can't find out how to contact said mods, which is why I'm making this thread rather than keeping this between us. Again, I'm really sorry. :steamsad:

This thread is really just a complaint, or, more optimistically, a friendly suggestion, with the intention of making this group better for everyone. <3

---

I would like there to be some way for banned peeps to appeal their bans.

Now, I understand, mods are people too, and as such have lives to attend to. But our server is quite small from what I can tell, and I think something as simple as a quick chat with the mod that banned them would somewhat suffice. And if the 'banee' is not happy, he/she can dispute the claim to a couple of higher ups or something, and then it would be final. I don't know how it would work; I'm just suggesting stuff off the top of my head. ;w;

The MC survival server I was on runs an 'mcbans' plugin thingamajig. One of the things it does (from what I can tell) is it gives server owners the option of whether or not to let banned users dispute and appeal local bans (global bans can always be disputed, and evidence must be provided accordingly). Said local bans are kept between the server owner and the banned user.

I eventually found that disputing local bans is disabled for people who get banned on this server. If it was turned on, I like to think that I would not be making this post. And really, that is what this post is about; we need a place for people to submit ban appeals. Because if we don't, then we might get more people (like me ;A;) putting them here instead. And no one wants that. Unless you do, in which case what the hell man. ;w;

Again, I wish I didn't have to make an entire thread about this, I originally just wanted to see if I can get this ban sorted out and explain myself and whatnot, but now I feel this group has a slightly bigger issue that needs addressing.

Could there please be some way for banned people to dispute said bans of theirs in some way? I feel that this is a little unfair. ;w;

Thanks for your time, have a wonderful day! <3

Heya there, usually ban appeals are accepted via our report / help / suggestions ticket system, which button is located on the bottom right part of sofurry website, there you can contact with the staff and appeal a ban to any of our services.
