Kickin' asses retro style!

Serious Sam: The Retro Encounter is a fan made, freeware DooM mod that aims to recreate Serious Sam's gameplay and provide a balanced multiplayer and an unique Serious Sam style campaign.
SS:TRE was made by Batandy and Duke_Nume in 2011, originally just as a tribute to the nearly-teased Serious Sam 3 Trailer.

Now it's being completely rebooted by Batandy with enhanced and more SS3 oriented gameplay, fixing all the flaws of the old version.

SS:TRE requires the DOOM2 wad, you can buy Doom 2 on the Steam Store.
It also required a sourceport, the game is being coded on Zandronum, but it will be GZDoom compatible too.

As a huge fan of both Doom and Sam, this is incredible. I can't imagine all of the work that must have gone into making this. Well done.

@YTP Scout : The mod is only compatible with Zandronum 1.1 or above.

I need help! Mah skulltag and GZDoom won't launch the game on latest release. It says something about errors with decorate. Pls help meh! Dese are da latest versions of Skulltag and GZDoom so don't say something like "Get a new version".
