Here are a few examples, how the parts could be made into separate blocks that can be blocks to be added together to make a runway. I'd say that ' unlike your roads' they should not have a 'curb' either side and just be completely flat. What do you think? With the taxi way parts (yellow markings) their would need to be a few more blocks to take into account left and right curves, junctions etc.

The second image shows an idea I had to have the yellow markings available to place on top of existing blocks like 'paint'. An example of an existing 'paint' mod like this is here -

PS. The dotted lines in the second image represent the 'hit box' or placing block.

I'll try to figure something out. And wide of block (large block)? Better will be odd number - 5x5, 7x7 ...

Haha! True, but it would bring the world block count down significantly, also would make building something like mine really easy. My one took hours!! If you do decide to go ahead, could you allow other blocks to be placed on all sides of the runway blocks please? Also, could you create one as a ramp, very similar to your roads, but not so steep please, for VSTOL launches. :)
