Big issue I see is that after the second day the population plummets. I'm not exactly sure why, but I think the fact that by day one lots of people have guns and huge bases is a major contributing factor. This makes crucial things for advancement (eg. air drops and military tunnels) almost impossible for new players and farming components becomes extremely difficult. It is also daunting for new players to see huge bases and hear gun shots when they have just started and are running around with a bow.
Having BPs again would help people stay a bit longer as dying potentially doesn't put you right back to the beginning but if you still have to farm components in military tunnel for the good weapons then new players will still leave quickly.
In my opinion there needs to either be three or four military type monument areas or military crates can spawn at all monument areas. This at least gives new players the hope that they may be able to get a good gun and compete.
These are just my opinions by the way and could be completely wrong :)
