All,

Now that Rustbucket Rumble is on the Steam Store, the game has its own community hub that includes the ability to do group chats and discussions. This means we have no need for this old Rustbucket Rumble group we created. (And, confusingly, both have the same name in chat.)

So what everyone should do is quit the old group and join the community hub. If you have friends in the old group, please forward this message to them.

Quitting the old group

In the Steam client, click on your name in the main menu and select Groups.
You will see Rustbucket Rumble listed as one of your groups. Click "Leave Group" on the right and then confirm that you want to leave.

Joining the community hub

In the Steam client, click on Community in the main menu and select Home.
You'll probably see Rustbucket Rumble in the recently played games list; if you do, click on it. If you don't, enter "Rustbucket Rumble" in the Find Hubs search box on the right; a little greyish box will pop up; click Rustbucket Rumble in that box.
You will now be on the Rustbucket Rumble community page. Click the "Follow" which is all the way to the right near the top.

Chatting using the community hub
There are two ways to get to the chat:

Go to the community hub page page like you did when you joined it. Click on "Group Chat" all the way to the right near the top

Bring up the little friends list dialog, either by clicking on "View Friends List" in the lower-right corner of the Steam client or by clicking on the Steam icon in the system tray and selecting "Friends". The Rustbucket Rumble community hub will show up in the Groups tab. Click on the little triangle drop-down icon and select "Join group chat room".

Sorry for any confusion this has caused. We'll monitor this group for awhile and hassle any stragglers still remaining before we try to close the group all the way :)

Hi Everyone!

Open Beta is up and running! We're continuing to play during the scheduled times we used in the Closed Beta: Tuesday at 11PM EST, Thursday at 8PM EST, and Sunday at 3PM EST.

If none of these times work for you, please post here to coordinate with other beta testers for a good time! Or just hop on and see if someone is playing!

Hey everyone - we've been Greenlit! This means we'll be able to do some really neat things in the coming weeks - fully open beta, Steam integration with chat, friends, updates, etc. - so stay tuned for more information as we get closer to launching our open beta.

We've updated the settings for the group to be public, so feel free to invite your friends to join if they'd like to be part of the beta. We'll use the group to provide information and have a chat room running that beta testers can communicate in.
