The Steam group discussion system only shows the most recent 300 threads, so this list (while not intended to categorize the threads) helps keep them visible incase the 300 number is reached.

By 10th Nov 2023, one post was unaccounted for (200 posts were listed out of 201). It's probably interlinked somewhere in the archive though (pretty much all of them are).

A stone wall surrounded the The Pipe n' Poob Tavern, found on the Rusty Moose Monthly (US) server which I visited on 14th March 2023. An open gate invites you to poke your nose into the compound, where you're met by a row of skulls on spikes. Beyond the welcoming display of skulls are a series of buildings that house different tiers of room, which can be purchased for metal frags or sulfer.

A T1 apartment would cost you 10,000 which is described on their Discord: "T1 apartments can be purchased from our vending machines that sell notes for 9,999 metal ore. Each T1 contains 1 small furnace, a campfire, a bed, 1 large storage box, and 4 small storage boxes. Utilities like research benches, repair benches, and T1 workbenches are typically in each T1 apt building once we are established."

A T2 cost 25,000 and is described as being: "equipped with 4 large storage boxes, 1 small storage box, a campfire, a bed, and 3 small furnaces. They also have a small garden space in-between apartments."

A T3 cost 100,000 and is described: "A T3 apartment has 10+ large storage boxes, 2 small storage boxes, a campfire, a bed, 3 small furnaces, and 2 lockers."

A T4 (mentioned only in their Discord) cost 500,000 but was not described.

The area was a rough one. I had only been in the compound for a few seconds before a fellow Englishman verbally assaulted me. Exploring around the walls I was shot at by a sentry gun, and heard someone firing a pipe shotgun before an assault rifle went off. Some of the buildings appeared to be shops, and I found one structure in poor shape, which I borrowed some clothes from before I scaled a pylon to get a better view of the whole operation.

They had another compound behind the apartments, which I assume was the military base described on their Discord. Their Discord group had 1,131 members, with one (a CEO nicknamed Ima Poob) having been a member since March 2017. The group describes their institution: "The Pipe n' Poob Tavern aims to capture player interactions that occur in Rust while roleplaying at zerg proportions."

Although to call it a roleplay group would undersell the practical functionality of the hotel. It's not just some characters pretending to run a hotel service for the sake of immersion or amusement. Players (I'm told) can pay for a room "bit by bit" with metal ore, and use their rooms to help progress research and crafting while they (and their stored items) are protected by turrets "for the rest of the wipe".
