RustGalaxy Government civil war July 2024
Members of The Government had been working together on servers that they voted to play on each month, but had often battled eachother if they happened to cross paths on other servers. Before July 2024, RustGalaxy servers were among those that Gov members had not voted to play on but still crossed paths, so they shot at eachother there.

For their wipe in July 2024, they voted to play on RustGalaxy, which should have then included a rule against attacking eachother, but the members made a "gentlemans agreement" to suspend the rule for that month, so they were more or less allowed to have a civil war.

Previous incidents of friendly fire, mistaken raids, the aggressive culture, and high frequency of civil wars within the Government left no doubt that a civil war would have emerged if there were no rules against it, if only due to the general culture for local conflict.

Not all members wanted to fight eachother, so some either didn't play that month, or played on other servers.

The members that stayed on RustGalaxy had split into factions, potentially warping to battle across the three RustGalaxy servers that shared the same character database (one server was in Europe, one was in Australia, and one was in the United States).

Some members felt it was fun to fight eachother for a change, which made sense because the only players on the server initially were Government members - there was nobody else to fight. Later into the wipe though, members did band together to fight an anti-Government group that showed up.
