A YouTube video titled I infiltrated an alliance discord... in Rust published in May 2023 appeared to show a Rust Government raid from when the Government were playing on the Reddit com/r/PlayRust – US Monthly server (which must have been recorded in Jan 2023). In the video, the spy killed one of the Gov members, and admitted that they had "told my teammates what [the Government members] were doing so they could kill them" although it's not clear if any such kills happened in the video itself.

The video atleast served as a candid snapshot of Government culture, which had changed little throughout the year - the team system was said to be full, and there were moments that lacked overlapping communication, leading to the member that stepped up to lead the raid having to wrangle a sense of coordination. The raid consisted of atleast 11 members, which was larger than usual for Government raids.

Gov members laughed about the video - the title word "infiltrated" seemed to be an exaggeration, as the group is public. The Gov was described as both an alliance and a zerg, particularly as "the worst kind of zerg", which contrasts with the doubts over whether the Government fits the description of a zerg or not.
