The Play Rust Wiki Steam group was founded 5th July 2013:

After only 11 days, the number of members had risen to 354. The group was staffed by Gmod biZ admins - one of the admins invited me to the group on 15th December 2013, I think probably because I had been a member of Gmod biZ. The home page linked to the Play Rust Wiki.

Membership history count:

The group more or less functioned to support the Play Rust Wiki. When Experimental replaced Rust Legacy as the default launch option in October 2014 onwards, the wiki became outdated, so it's no surprise that the Steam group no longer gained members. The membership count slowly evaporated, until a suspicious rise between 2017 and 2025 - I would speculate that nefarious bot accounts were joining populated Steam groups to make the account appear legitimate, so I wonder if around 500 of these accounts might have joined the group.
