During the Government's Jan 2024 wipe, the Arctic Research monument and the surrounding area (under Government control) were rich in resources used to produce rockets, which could be gathered practically uninterrupted due to how remote the location was. At one point that month, the Government was estimated to have over 500 rockets.

The Blockhouse Garrison alone (run by a Rust News writer, which didn't usually produce more than a few rockets) crafted 80 rockets, which (comparing hours spent per Yen value) was 1,000% more profitable than writing articles.

So many rockets were produced in such a short time that there wasn't enough Yen to keep the economy (highly) animated - transactions and taxes that circulate the currency generally went at a slower pace in 2023. Members could have created more Yen to keep the cogs turning in the short term, but it probably would have meant increasing collateral (and potentially, inflation).
