Early versions of Rust Experimental included a mysterious red blob that would appear on walls inside player's bases, which was unexplained until the connection to the building plan was noticed - when a player holds a building plan and looks at the walls of a base then the building preview (which would be red) will often show a small red blob about the size of a melon.
