In Jan 2024, the Government's Discord server bot crashed, which resulted in the server commands not working until the bot was restarted. An explanation of the issue was posted in the server's main channel on 19th Jan 2024:

Bot Failure Caused by Human Error
The Government's discord bot was down for about 8 hours. It's the first non-scheduled downtime in over a year. The cause was that I forgot to re-enable the bot's auto-recovery system after working on the code last night. A few hours later, while I was sleeping, the bot suffered a minor error and crashed. Without the auto-recovery system, the bot went down and stayed down. The answer going forward will be for me to add more alarms to the bot. Next time it falls and can't get back up, it will smash the LifeAlert button.

I don't believe that the downtime had much impact on gameplay, but some commands were useful within the group, so I imagine that they would have been painful to lose for an extended period of time.
