The Government's Sept 2023 wipe was played on US Rustinity 2x monthly large.

This was the first time that the Government played on a server that had increased gather rates, although I'm sure that many of the individual members had played on a 2x server before. They founded a village on the north-east coast in a desert biome next to a Giant Excavator Pit.

The Gov had frustratingly run into convicted cheaters on the previous wipe, which was played on Rustopia US Large, motivating a change in server, so it was even more frustrating to run into more convicted cheaters for this wipe on Rustinity. The cheating debacle was referred to as The Cheaterama. A pair of bandit groups repeatedly launched assaults against the village during the first few days which included the use of tall raid bases, and resorted to a massive glitch raid, but these attacks had little impact on the village.

The clan table was introduced, which caused some confusion as members assumed that it was large enough to contain the entire group, leading to members outside the clan being shot in friendly fire. There were so many incidents of friendly fire that battles developed and a helicopter was mistakenly shot down. The chaos in the air was partly due to the introduction of a player-piloted attack chopper.

Several members had been demotivated by the dramas during this period, which was speculated to be the reason that the active number of members had decreased at the time.

The President disappeared on September 23rd. He had been so active until then, that despite steadily losing activity points over the subsequent six months, his former rank as a general remained intact. Even after this extended absence, members continued to express that they missed his presence.
