THE END
Read here for happy ending:
So after my fish was free, I put it back into the fishbowl and fed him. A few days later I saw that he was fat enough, that he wouldn't get stuck again in the clamshell. So after all, I put the clamshell back into the bowl.
Read here for sad ending:
But my fish felt cold. Also, I didn't feel any heartbeat. So, a few days after Jack, my grandpa died, also Jack, my fish did. My parents and I buried him next to grandpa. Two Jacks in one week was to much for me.
My heart beat rapidly, I could see the figure behind me. My mind told me to swim, but I stood there frozen. I could barely make out that the figure was an alligator. But I closed my eyes in desperation waiting for the figure to end my life. Hold up. Let's go back to the beginning. My names Carlos. I'm a catfish. I love my owners and the place where I live. My owners are pretty cool. Their names are Rebecca and Ben. They put me in this huge fishbowl I could play around in. It was amazing. My life was amazing. Until the baby came. I don't know how it got there, or why my owners let it come. But one day it just showed up like it owned the place. I don't know why, but it seemed like my owners liked the small devil more than me. They cuddled him, they fed him, they cleaned him. They never did that stuff for me. I was furious. I tried yelling at the baby but, I can't really talk. The baby looked at me, and then picked me up. I was like,"Woah Woah Woah." I knew what the baby was going to do. He looked at the window, then at me, then chucked the fish bowl outside the window. I tried to scream, as my body flailed through the air. The wind blowing into my face. It kind of felt good, until I realized that fishes don't survive outside of water. I panicked. I was still falling, and if i did nothing I would either suffocate or go splat on the floor. Suddenly, I saw it. It was a trampoline. I had no clue why it was outside, but I saw the baby jump on a small version of a trampoline. I aimed for the trampoline. My body bounced off the trampoline and right into the sewer. "Great." I thought. It was so dirty down there. Disgusting droppings on the wall. The water was nasty. There were clamshells on the floor. What kind of cruel person puts clamshells in the sewer. I didn't know what to do. I was away from my owners and I was scared. The sewer tunnels were the most disgusting thing ever. I was used to clean fish bowls, and clean food, and toy clamshells in my bowl. But none of those things were here. I started getting tired, so I decided to sleep now, and think about what to do in the morning. I woke up rattled. I swore I heard something. I looked to my left, and I saw the biggest alligator ever. I knew people said there were alligators under the New York sewers but I didn't believe them. I swam as fast as I could. I could hear the alligator breathing on me. I swam faster than Usain Bolt when he is running. I saw this clown right in front of me, asking me if I wanted a balloon, but I just ignored him. Crazy New Yorkers I thought. But I still had to run. Then I saw it. My escape. It was a jug of water. I jumped straight in. There was a sewage worker there too. He picked up his jug of water, and left as soon as he saw the alligator. The man yelled at the top of his lungs which was pretty annoying for me. I looked around in amazement, the outside world never looked better(mostly because I spent a day in a sewer). But I still had to find my owner. Then I saw her. It was Rebecca. I tried to motion to her somehow but, I was a catfish. The sewage worker was telling everyone not to go or look into the sewers because there was an alligator. Rebecca saw the sewage worker, then saw me. She came up to the sewage worker, slapped him in the face, and said,”Never steal my catfish again!” Finally I was back with my owner. It never felt better. Rebecca never found out that the little devil child threw me out the window, but I was happy that I was back home. I was back with my clean water, my toy clamshells, and my clean food. I knew never to mess with that child again. Then everything went back to normal. I ate, played for a little, slept. I didn’t go near the child. It was starting to go back to my normal life, and I loved it. Until the dog came.
One day, while scrolling through some socialmedia websites, an add pops up saying: Find the ONE! Matt's thinking that it wouldn't hurt him to try it out so he made a profile and started checking it out. There were so many gorgeous girls there, all of them out of his league...He kept on searching and he couldn't believe it. He had found a girl that was also collecting clamshells and incredibly her name was Lucy, his favorite clamshell. That right moment he texted her and told her everything about his collection. She replied after a few hours saying she really wants to meet and maybe get to know each other. He agreed and next day he went on to wait for her at a local restaurant but she never came. When he returned home, all his clamshells were gone. A note was left behind: "It was just a catfish baby. Signed, Lucy''
- Hi, the catfish said
- Hi, said the other fish.
They talked for hours about the castel to hide in and the calmshell, about the plants and soon about all fun they would have. And yes, fun they had, all time, swimming around. Until...
One day Golden swimmed out of the castel and found the catfish floating upside down. He thought he slept, but soon the human took him. Today is it not the catfish, it is the golden fish that is swimming around and around bored of life.
Then he sees dolphin. He asks, "Hey, have you seen a clam shell?"
Dolphin replies, "Sorry I haven't."
Then catfish asks shark, "Hey shark, have you seen a clam shell?" "Sorry I haven't," replies shark. He looks and looks but he can't find it.
Then sea snail comes along and says, "Hey I've seen a clam shell." Catfish says "You have? where?" Sea snail goes very slowly over. Sea snail travels for a long time and then Great white shark comes along.
"What are you doing?" Great white shark asks. "I am trying to find my lucky clam shell.
"Oh," replies shark, "I've seen it. Here i will give you both a ride." Great white shark lets them climb onto his flipper and finally they see it. "Yay," said catfish and in the end they all became friends.
