Bought around 200 games there and never had any complaints (1 exception..Interstate 76 has graphics hickups).
So yeah GOG is the best place for old games imo. Some retro games on STEAM even use the GOG screenshots (check Wizardry 7 for instance..the mage is calles GOGCOM).
One can tell there wasnt much effort put into STEAM releases if they dont even bother to make fresh screenshots for the store page :D
