Hello everyone, I am Pixel and I am finally here with the rule list for RGU. After some talk with Mag, we decided we should make this just in case. Now this is how the rules will work, if you disobey a rule/rules in the forums, we will ask you to alter your post. If you don't, your post will be taken down or altered, but you can still post afterwards. But, if you disobey again, you will be kicked and your post will be taken down or altered depending on the rule and how serious it is. However, its only temporarily, so you will be able to post again after a certain amount of time. When you come back, if you break the rules again, we will warn you and mention you have been kicked from the forums before. If you break the rules again, we will warn you again. If you break the rules again, you will be banned from the forums.

Now for the chat. If you disobey a rule/rules for the chat, we will warn you. If you disobey again, we will warn you. If disobey AGAIN however, we will kick you. It's only temporarily though, so will be able to come back after a certain amount of time. When you come back, we expect you to not break the rules. If you do again, will warn and mention that you have been kicked from the chat before. If you do it again, we warn you again. If you do it again after that, you will be banned. If you want to be unbanned from any/both of these, you must make an appeal. Which I will link at the end of the post. So lets get right to it!

1. No Spamming. I think this is self explanatory.

2. No ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. If you don't know what ♥♥♥♥ posting is, here is an example. http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/app/2280/discussions/0/864980277708427797/ Its ok to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the chat.

3. Label NSFW material NSFW. For example, if someone makes a post about disturbing things in games and you post a rape scene as disturbing, (example: Silent Hill 2) label it NSFW. "Hey guys this is pretty disturbing to! By the way, NSFW!" No. This does not mean you can post porn. Speaking of which...

4. No Porn. That is all.

5. No flaming. This means no hateful arguments.

6. Don't disrespect the Mods or Officers. We're the ones that keep this group running!

7. Please Use Proper Grammar And Punctuation. Don't do this: "i really like brutal doom because of the gore" Instead, do this: "I really like Brutal Doom because of the gore."

8. No Derailing Threads Or Topics: If somebody posts a discussion about Serious Sam, don't talk about Doom. Now if everyone in the chatroom is talking about Quake and you want to talk about Fallout, do it respectfully: "Hey guys, have any of you ever played Fallout?" or "Hey, do you mind if we talk about something else?". Don't do this: "fallout 3".

9. Don't stay AFK. If you stay AFK for over 40 minutes, you will be warned. If you don't respond in 2 minutes, you will be kicked.

10. Can't believe we forgot to add this one. No discriminatory language.

Rule 11. Do. Not. Say. "LOL".

Rule 12. Do. Not. Say. "GABEN". Or mention Half Life 3 until Valve does. Those jokes suck.

Rule 13. No E-begging.

Rule 14. No jokes that may offend anyone of any religion, etnicity, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Sex jokes are alright, just nothing too racy.

Rule 15. No spoilers unless someone asks for them and everyone agrees that it's okay to show them.

Rule 16. Keep the all caps to a minimum. Once in awhile it's okay to do a caps. 15000000 times is not.

Rule 17. RGU generally hopes for it's members to be at least fifteen years old, to maintain a level of relative maturity and retro-ness in it's discussions. If you're younger, that's fine, so long as you've shown yourself to be a mature and respectful group member.

And that is it for now. We will be adding on to this list as time goes on but for now, I am Pixel and I am out. And remember! Rules are rules.

Also, if you ever feel the need to report someone, feel free to private message me on Steam. If it has to do with someone in the chatroom I more often than not save the chat logs in the group chat. Just in case someone wants to report someone, I can look through the chat logs and see what they did.
