also, guys, take a look at rozgos steam account! he has 148 games but almost all of them have no game time! wtf!?

well.. Steam forums aren't really adiqute. I used the old rawbots forums tonnes, Steam fourms lack the handy features of regular fourms sites. Steam forums are mostly unused any way as most folks (like me) perfer the individual websites for forums which are easy and quick to visit.

Like even though there was really only 6 of us, the old rawbots forums still saw good traffic. The steam community is like a deadzone.

Say, Any of you folks think it would be worth somebodies time to rent/buy a simple fourm page for the rawbots community? Curse offers a 1.50$ A month standard webfourm I think... (I'm not volunteering, college makes me much to busy)

Take on mars looks really cool, but I'm not too sure If I want to get the game just yet...

I'm gonna be rockin something rawbots-like in the coming months as a mod for Take On Mars. The TT demo is fun, but from what I have seen of the full game it doesn't seem to be that engaging :/

I actually haven't bought homebrew yet, I'm perfering terra tech. Its fun , Kiddy like and artistically pleasing

I tried the demo, wasn't blown away like I was with Rawbots :/

If they were going to abandon the game completely, they should've sold it or at least released the sources. Right now it's a waste of perfectly good code :s

oh well, maybe in a few years some other person will give this genre a try. Mech warrior sat dead for 12 years before PGI picked it up again.

Oh and pressureline you are seriously overestimating the amount of time, MONEY and programing they have put into this game I am a C grade coder/modler/skinner at best and I could make something like this alone in a couple of months of hard work... Why havnt I? Because I work full time and have a family to look after they on the other hand got payed... and even then I am working on my own game but I'm not releasing it uncomplete to make a few bucks, I actually care about my game not the money!!! That being said what the hell makes you think they would have invested almost half a mill the only cost they had was paying themselves and buying the

(IF THEY DID AND A BIG IF AT THAT) pro version of unity.... which is like what 100ish a month.... -___- ..... Oh and if each of these members lost 30-40 THOUSAND DOLLARS as you put it then why not do a little more work on there game release it and make that money back.... If Rawbots was some sort of 'scam' to get money from people its a p***-poor one.

Afaik the team self-funded to the tune of $400,000 USD, plus some $ from en external backer. At the start of the KS campaign they had made about $20k off of sales from rawbots.net . Add in the $23k the KS campaign, and probably another $20k of sales since the start of the KS and you have enough to pay one very average programmer for a year.

But lets say the entire team are living off that ~60k. Afaik there are 9-12 members of the team, so thats a cool 5-6k each! all they had to do to 'scam' that off you was spend 35-45k to set up the scam. I don't think it is really a scam if the scammer is losing 30-40 THOUSAND DOLLARS just to get 5-6k paycheck.

also, while I am at it, whitepinkbun : It was on kickstarter, and the whole thing about kickstart is that you MAY lose all your money and get NOTHING in return! so we all took risks backing the game, hopefully we'll see rewards. But you know what , if they take the money and run, who am I to judge? they need to eat and 25k is ♥♥♥♥ all for a real company

As someone who knows how to do a wide variety of coding modeling skining and the likes I know this game doesn't need much that's why I am so pissed off I have to work to support a family I don't have the time to make a game yet these guys got our money had time to make it but decided to take the money and run they are trash.
