We don't want to abandon the Canary page, but with a name change and this page in a state of disrepair, we've made a brand new Steam group.

Hey!

Since we don't have access to Canary's repo, and we want to keep Canary as of its last version intact, we're making a new download and mod name for it.

It will function the same as always, and the code looks the same, all that's new is the name and download location.


PROJECT: Phoenix is the name for this new version. You can grab it here, from Last Bullet Gaming.:

BLT is working again. So we're preparing a payload for Canary.


We want to know, from YOU, the prime users of the modification prior--


What do you want to see done with it? We have ideas on how to integrate it with Restoration Mod and make it easy to update for everyone. Or, since we know some people like to have it separate, keep it as its own mod.

Hey guys.

Not much to say, just a definite word from me before I leave this project to whoever - or whatever wants to pick it up.

As of 31 March, 2015, Kaillus released - alongside the PAYDAY 2 'Better Lua injecTor' - PROJECT: Canary, a modification to the game that would heavily improve and alter the character and audial interaction.

As of 25 October, 2015, Martini will be handed the reins on the future of PROJECT: Canary.

As of 25 October, 2015, Kaillus will be dropping responsibilities to all projects and works done for the game PAYDAY 2, which includes but is not limited to: PROJECT: Canary, Bodhi's War Repair, Restoration Mod, and the Heister's Story Pack.

Kaillus has no opinion and will have no say in what the future of PROJECT: Canary holds, without express consent from Martini. This includes topics such as features, coding, and possible merging into Restoration Mod.

Thank you for your patronage, everyone. It's been a fun ride and I've learned a lot in regards to coding and how ♥♥♥♥ works because of this project. While some people see the community's response to Overkill's business practices as overreaction, I see their practices as impractical, unprofessional, and deceitful. While working to make a game that was enjoyable, impressive, and that held promise, I thought it was fun trying to piece new features together and feel adrenaline pump through my body when I heard a voice line being dusted off and played for the first time since release.

My loss of the next update's files was not the only factor in dropping my projects - while it was a big one, that and Overkill's actions were not the only things that made me sick of working on them.

I'll see you guys around.
