As you know, over the past week, we changed management at Project Bluestreak. I now have a mature admin and mod (some new and some returning) team that has already instituted some exciting things in just the past week:

1. We now have our own dedicated CSGO Server (paid for by yours truly)
2. We have reinstituted Friday Fun Night

This management change was made because a couple of months ago, I was trying to give a few youngesters a chance to gain experience in a leadership role by managing BLS. I knew it as a risk and a gamble but remained optimistic anyway.

What I didn't count on was the power going to the heads of those I placed in management positions. Lack of widsom and emotions got in the way and one or more of the former admins did random kicking of members that disagreed with them, kicked other admins and mods without warning, and other such actions I can only chalk up to lack of experience or compasion . My continued coaching met with deaf ears. In short my experiment failed-clearly they just were not ready to take on such "power" positions at BLS.

Taking the high road, I gave those Admins a chance to step down on their own rather than kicking them. I did this as an honorable thing to do. I wished them well, and unfriended them and them went on with life.

So over the past 24 hours, the former BLS admins and a few other disgruntled members and admins that thrive on drama, and negative energy created their own new group.

When I first became aware of the new group, I visited their site and saw such words in the description of the group as "The rival group of BLS" and the group that is going to be "better than BLS." (those words have since been removed)

I also read some of the comments that their group members posted on their own comment site. Things like, lets have a rivalry, this is war [against BLS], and shit like that.

They then went and solicited current BLS members to join their group.
Again, just take the easy way out and try to poach other groups members (especially "rival" groups' members) instead of building your own base of membership the way most every other new Steam group does. That again speaks to what I was talking about earlier about maturity.

A few BLS members even chatted me privately asking if it was "ok" to remain friends with some of the other group's members. My answer was, NO ONE, has the right to tell you who to be friends with, not BLS, not me, and not that other group. You be friends with whomever you want-that's your right.

A few have even told me that they get repeated invites even after they declined previously. To that I say, if you feel harrassed by that or any group, report them to steam. And trust me, Steam will take action. If you need help with that let me know, because, I do have the ear of Steam...

So my stance on this entire dramatic episode is this:

1. BLS is not a rival of anyone, we are here to do our own thing. We siimply have no time to concern ourselves with fictious rivalry and hate.

2. Join what ever group you want to. If you are not getting what you desire from BLS, then I encourage you to join some other group that will hopefully fulfill what you are looking for.

That said, since this other group is hell bent on creating tension, grief, rivalty and drama, then I ask you to pick one or the other, because it does neither group any good to have you as members of both, and will only perpetuate the drama that group seems to thrive on.

If you choose to stay with BLS, I can only say Thank you. If you choose to go with the other group, you will automatically be giving up your BLS membership for reasons I already stated And if that being the case,
then GO and I wish you well, and I wish them well too.

But this shit about war and drama only takes away from the mission of BLS as well as the other group, unless perhaps the motive of the other group was/is just that, with a maybe hint of vindictiveness added.

You are really the one with the "Power". The power to choose which group you wish to align with. Please use that power.
