“No Safe Room Yet”
The streets are dead, the sky burns red,
no signs of life, just screams and dread.
Four survivors, outnumbered, outgunned,
running through fire with nowhere to run.
Ellis laughs with blood on his face,
Coach swings hard, keeping the pace.
Nick stays cool, Rochelle stands tall—
together they fight, or together they fall.
Boomers burst, the Witch will cry,
a Hunter drops from the bloodstained sky.
Tank shakes the earth, the horde won’t rest,
but they reload hope in every breath.
There’s no cure, no morning light,
just one more hallway, one more fight.
And though the world has gone to rot—
they’re still alive. That says a lot.
Bushes are red, trees are red.
My garden is on fire
The colour of love for a heart that beats so bright
But the colour you see when you are filled with spite
Red is the sweet of a cherry topped tart.
Red does bleed a broken heart.
Red eyes are muddled, that which breed red puddles.
But red hearts breed nothing but cuddles.
the color of fire and molten earth
red the color of our life and anger
