Let's assume valve weren't incompetent ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Yes, I'm gonna out and say it. Let's assume they weren't corporate (dead) bootlickers. I still would've done this. That's me telling the honest truth. Centralisation, i.e. deferring all your power to a single authority is bad. No matter where it is. I don't plan to go to one place. I plan to go to multiple.

Above is a link to gmas I downloaded back when I unlisted the addons about a couple weeks ago. I spent some time to attempt archiving about half of the workshop pages for my own personal record. But my time on the workshop is over.

Oh, no, my source career will continue for a long time to come. I'll be working with gmod for a much longer time. But this group? My workshop tenure? That's over. Even if the message had gotten through.

Our society is corrupt. Everything you ever know is a lie. The world is trying its best to hide the truth from you, about the law of the water, and how our world is much more simple than you'd be lead to believe.

I have detached from social media in the past couple of years because it's the same ordeal. And this is just another step along that path.

There are things that people believe that would short circuit them if they ever thought into it any more than they were told. When you sign your power and responsibility away to someone else, you lose control of what it means to be you.

And that's what I'm doing. I'll be around, somewhere or another. I'll be at an inverted, mirrored portal, decentralising this to the wider internet. The addons I've subscribed to I'll archive and do the same. Gmod lived without the workshop and it will do so again.

My projects will not end here. But my putting them on the workshop? That's finished. Everything I had control over, barring the roblox addons for the sake of posterity, is gone. Anything that remains was uploaded by someone else, but it's not guaranteed to last.

This also means I won't post updates here anymore. Not even in the thread. That's finished.

The link will be left on my profile and contains all the gmas. Spread the link around far and wide. Oh, and just for further reference, if you want to modify anything I've made, you don't need to ask my permission. It goes without saying, but I'll make my point extra clear. Do whatever you like with my addons. I highly encourage it.

It feels a bit weird. In some way, I kinda wanted it this way. In another, I'm upset. But ultimately, this is for the best, no matter what.

But this isn't over for me.
