Accessing the Payday 2 Workshop

To opt into the Workshop (Beta / Final), a couple of steps are required.

First, right-click the game in your library, and select "Properties". On the "Betas" tab, choose the dropdown to find the Workshop option, and apply the changes.

A new update will be then queued on Steam, with approximately 850 Mb... download it. Your game should now have a [workshop] tag in front of the title. But it's not completely done yet.

Now, run the game. Once in-game, head over to the options. You should see a Workshop option, which you must check.

The Workshop is now active! Head over to your in-game inventory, select a weapon, and choose "Modify Weapon". In the mods screen, you will see a new option called "Edit Skin".

NOTE: To play with your friends or other players, they need to have the Beta active as well. Otherwise, this counts as different versions of the game and does not connect.

You're right, I forgot to add that part. Then, head over to the inventory. Select a weapon, and modify it. In the mods screen, you will see a new option called "Edit Skin".
