What is this?

P1 Done P2 is, from the technical side, a modification for Portal 2. It was initially been built by Drunkenshoe and is currently being developed and maintained by me (PistonMiner). It is based upon the idea of re-creating the original Portal in the Portal 2 engine. It is still in development and quite a bit from finished. It is mostly intended for speedrunning, which is why the final maps are (at the moment) not exactly completable without use of speedrunning techniques. The mod requires both Portal and Portal 2 to be played.

After downloading, extract the archive to a location of your choice. In order to make it functional, the collection of the Portal assets is required. This is done via the use of a Python (2.7) script. If you have not got Python installed, install it now. After you did so, launch the included script 'p1dp2_generate.py'. It will prompt you to your Portal installation location. Enter the directory hl2.exe lives in. It will look something like 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Portal'. After entering it, the program will begin to collect the raw assets and updating with your game files. After it is done, you can transfer the folder to your Steam sourcemods directory, it is located in '/Steam/steamapps/'. You may now restart Steam. Congratulations, you have installed P1 Done P2!

Apparently Steam removes links nowadays, so just remove the spaces, that will get you the download location. Just download the latest version. If you need to update, unless the patch notes say so, just overwrite the old files.

- Installing using a Portal language set to not english breaks all Glados dialogue. Fix: Change the language to english in the properties and re-install.
