Ist Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment "Manchu"

The actual 1/9 is a historic unit that has participated in every major wartime effort the United States has ever embarked on. In the operation at Yang-Sun, the 1/9 broke into and held the forbidden city at Peking for an entire year, thus earning the name "Manchu" which the locals also call the statues that spiritually guard the city.
