Well, not quite. The concept is correct, but genes dont work like that. When you reproduce, The traits from the Mother and Father are divided into Dominate and resesive, so some traits dont get transmited but other times they do. There is also genetic mutation and evolution.

Interesting theory, but its not quite that simple. When a large star runs out of fuel for nuclear fusion, It runs out of energy. This means that there is no energy to keep gravity to completley crush it. The force of gravity rapidly accelerates the leftover material to the core, and this compression has so much energy, that when the energy exeeds the gravity of the rest of the star, all the energy lashes out, making a supernova. With a supernova, there is a inward and outward force. The outward force is seen as electromagnetic waves through space, as there is no material to carry the shock. The inward force strikes the core with an equal energy, causing its atomic structure to desintegrate into protons, neutrons and electrons. This makes a neutron star, that spins very fast and has a massive ammount of gravity, and emits high radiation from its fast spin. If its not spinning, there is no angular momentem to keep the gravity from crushing it more. The neutrons and protons themselves break down from the gravity, and it infinitly shrinks into a singularity. This makes a black hole, a point in space the size of a pinhead, but with the mass of a star 60 times the mass of our sun. The gravity is so immense that physics itself bends at its will, and not even light, the fastest thing in the universe, cannot escape its pull.
