OS Server IP Change

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to let everyone know that the IP address has changed for the servers since Geek Strada got a new router.

The new IP address is 184.174.146.70

The ports remain unchanged, and can be found in the server roster on the group's main page.

EDIT: Remember that what I have above is JUST the IP. If you want to re add the servers you're going to need the ports. Here is the list of the server IP along with the specific ports:

#1 - TF2 MvM - 184.174.146.70:27015
#2 - TF2 Idle - 184.174.146.70:27016
#3 - TF2 Idle - 184.174.146.70:27017
#4 - TF2 Stock Maps - 184.174.146.70:27018

#5 - L4D Modded - 184.174.146.70:27013

#7 - NMRiH - 184.174.146.70:27012

#8 - KF - 184.174.146.70:7707

New Killing Floor Server

For those who like to play Killing Floor from time to time (or more often), Obsolete Superstars now has a KF server.

It is currently set for Normal difficulty and Long (10 waves). We've added a few mutators, like visible spectating (clouds) and damage popup. If you'de like any settings changed or custom maps added, please let us know.

HOW TO PLAY ONLINE 2017:

Use the latest OpenRVS Patch from www.rvsgaming.org

At the time of writing this post its the one OpenRVS v0.7 http://rvsgaming.org/OpenRVS/rvs_multiplayer_patch_oct10_beta_v0.7.zip

Read the Readme file!
Just copy the files from the latest patch to:

C: > Program Files > Steam > steamapps > common > Rainbow Six 3 > system folder.

If you don't have the steam version of the game the same thing applies just install into your games directory in the system folder - overwrite the old files.

Its really that simple.

Also how to speed up your downloads of new maps in the game from a server, exit the game, edit your RavenShield.ini file in Notepad or Wordpad any text editor, find the following and change to these values by example:

[Engine.Player]
ConfiguredInternetSpeed=90000 (default was only 4000)
ConfiguredLanSpeed=90000
