HOW TO PLAY ONLINE 2017:

Use the latest OpenRVS Patch from www.rvsgaming.org

At the time of writing this post its the one OpenRVS v0.7 http://rvsgaming.org/OpenRVS/rvs_multiplayer_patch_oct10_beta_v0.7.zip

Read the Readme file!
Just copy the files from the latest patch to:

C: > Program Files > Steam > steamapps > common > Rainbow Six 3 > system folder.

If you don't have the steam version of the game the same thing applies just install into your games directory in the system folder - overwrite the old files.

Its really that simple.

Also how to speed up your downloads of new maps in the game from a server, exit the game, edit your RavenShield.ini file in Notepad or Wordpad any text editor, find the following and change to these values by example:

[Engine.Player]
ConfiguredInternetSpeed=90000 (default was only 4000)
ConfiguredLanSpeed=90000

It's been a lengthy 2 years of being on OS*. Meeting new people. Making memories. Made good friends. I loved going on to OS* 2&3, but because of what Geek has done. Things have changed and cannot be reversed. Hope you realized what you have done, Geek.

Well, all i can say is this. I loved OS 2&3. Best guys ive ever met are there. I don't think i once caused a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Shame that every piece of ♥♥♥♥ became magnitized to fans.

Never forget the works of our great admins for doing the service of banning those two rule breakers and taking huge safety measures of not updating the servers in order to protect their wallets from hiring another programmer. True heroes.

So, I'm gonna rant. the way you've been moderating the OS* servers make me sick. The owner and head admin don't spend any time at ALL on any of the servers and choose to ban two regulars through RCON and not actually make an effort and join the server. You do realize that OS isn't exactly NeonHeights and we aren't the pinnacle of trade server royalty. You put arbitrary rules and other nonsense in the chat at a few minute intervals. The "no innapropriate language rule" and Demo recording wiki page being my examples. Both aren't needed. At all. The lone reason OS3 and OS2 get any players at all is due to the regulars joining, and nothing else. The only admin I've encountered on my few months of playing on OS3 is Floyd and even then he spends a massive amount of time offline.

Now, I'm gonna move into a way to fix these problems.

1. take away the terrible no cursing rule- The truth is, we all curse and even the two moderators have no problem with cursing. Apparently using adult language on a 17+ plus game is bad. When someone is banned due to this rule, the ban length is extremely long and not needed, looking at your forums I saw that CakeTown was banned for a week and Omega a month due to cursing. Now Spoon was facing a permanent ban and Slash a month ban. If you want to ban due to cursing, you're gonna have to ban all the regulars that keep your servers alive. If you're scared of children hearing innapropriate words, put in the name of the server "17+" that way it's their own fault not ours.

2. Staff- After moderating a GMod server with an excessive amount of staff, I can easily see this group is barebones when it comes to staff, and even then the active moderators have next to no power. I propose that someone like Mankey or Ellis is given moderator status and given more power. They are both active and have shown interest in the position. Also, since the head admin apparently does not show enough interest to go on the server atleast once every few weeks Someone like KXA should be promoted

3. Listening to the community- There has been an outcry for a new map on OS3 since the map currently being used is very unoptimized and causes massive amounts of lag for players and is also an older version of a map that has been updated multiple times. Also, regular gravity would be terrific. Us players have also noticed banned players coming back on alts and using aimbot and other hacks and when we tell the admins nothing happens. Please for the love of God listen to us when we tell you these things. Making the server NOT sv_pure would also help appease us players, letting us use reskins and other modifications.

Got banned from OS...Looked up and down the forums looking for a reason...didn't find ♥♥♥♥,If an Admin could contact me just so I kno why I was banned that would be wonderfull.Besides that only thing I could think of is the giant stick up honorguards ass.

OS#1 goes online and offline for me, it may still be added to your favorites but it is just offline for long periods
