Thinking about it..... If and it's a big IF enough supporters want nomads island to return and if we can have our community helping to get the numbers up.... I would gladly relaunch the zero admin abuse, zero admin fucking about, zero admin tweaking and fucking up, vanilla experience people deserve. :)

There may be another nomads rust server in the future, I think this cos we've been on a few servers since and they are either overpopulated and toxic or lower pop with shit admin. No half way house so far.

This is The Last Nomads Island Wipe

Hi all,

It’s been a tough week or two as a Rust Admin, with XP introduction and XP database corruption, its meant many hours trying to resolve problems and many hours more trying to attract people back to the server, at a time when many people have dropped from playing the game, as can happen during phases of an alpha development.

What this two week period has reminded me of, is that (a) I miss playing Rust properly, I don’t have time enough time, and (b) I have many loyal players who want more action, so that’s godda change.

What make things worse is that I know, I have a lot of regular, loyal players in our group, who deserve a busier server to play on and with time available and other things, whilst I have had a good try, I can’t do that for you at this time.

So with this in mind, I’m saddened to say that this will be the final wipe cycle of the Nomads Rust server before it is taken down.

Will this be for ever? I don’t think so…. We had a server in legacy days, we had a server through recent times and I expect at some point in its later Alpha, or maybe even early retail release, that we will choose to host our own server again.

In the meantime, time to have some fun……

What do we do now? Where do we go?

This is where it could get real interesting as I know a lot of you are devoted Rust players, a lot of you are very good friends of mine now, even if it is in game chat, I know a lot of you will want to play on a server somewhere and I know more than anyone else, that you deserve to have fun in Rust but with a higher population to survive in?

Friends, I would like you all to join me in Nomads and become a clan member. Don’t worry, this is not a regimented clan, more like a local pub.

Where before we we’re enemies and friends, now we can be comrades, team players under the Nomads badge, a collective of likeminded, experienced, collaborative team of Rustians.
We have players from the USA, UK and the rest of the EU, plus players from further afield……. What do this mean? It means we would have a multi time zone clan, which means more coverage, protection and more frequent opportunity to war and raid.

We have our own website, our own teamspeak and with a lot of you guys on board, we would have a rather strong Rust clan.

Then after this wipe cycle, we will go forward and conquer someone else server, like when the Romans came and bum-rushed England !
