So this Thursday 5th is our best predictions for the developers wipe for servers. Unfortunately this is unavoidable as the devs control it from my understanding. While it means starting over players who've already invested time into the server should keep knowledge (so don't worry you will still be able to make a hatchet!).

While this is the start of a new story/adventure/nightmare depending on your outlook on the game. I believe we should mark the previous wipes most fond moments for each player. So I thought we could share memories of the previous months game, that's right it's been a month! My how time fly! A lot happened in that time. Bases built, friendships made, strategies thought and nemesis made. So here's your chance to record a little about it. Doesn't have to be one particular memory but it's going to be here for who knows how long so remember people unfamiliar with the situation maybe looking at these some day. I'm not saying write a novel, but give a little background!

Now to make this absolutely clear, this is more of a time capsule than a play by play of what's happening in a server. As people may use information you provide against you in the current slate (I'm referring to the current state of the server so the current wipe, so I'm hereby coining the term slate for the current story. Idea being after every wipe, you start with a fresh slate) so please refrain from posting your story till Thursday unless you don't really mind at this point. That also means people from the future don't write here if you haven't played this month's slate. Nothing against you I'm just hoping to make this a reoccurring thing for each wipe. So write your story referring to your slate.

For the record this 'slate' ran from 1/10/2015 to 5/11/1015.

Yeah like Q said, I'm in favour of change guys. Maybe take note of the maps seed? That way if someone's enjoyed it they can record the seed but in honesty I like the not knowing aspect of the exploration of a new map.

Like I pointed out earlier it makes it a rather level playing field aswell because everyone's on a level playing field! So it doesn't favour previous players & at the same time provides a new experience to old plays to prevent the game getting stale for them.

While this has been the first time I've really played Rust & this'll be my first wipe. I believe the rad towns or monuments (whatever you want to call them) will be around still, just in different locations so anyone particularly fond of the groaning sphere of doom aka the dome aka the golf ball. It'll just be in a different location next time, or possibly be a different monument all together (who knows)

Change maybe scary but honestly I think it'll help breathe new life into the server so give change a chance I say!

yeah sounds dogey af asif they'd used the noclip command and somehow another commmand to allow themselves access to your chests so, well within your right to ban.
