Nonchalant Dominance's Live Chat Clients (Slack and TS3)
Nonchalant Dominance operates two chat clients for you to use when you want to chat with others in game and get involved with what's going on currently - Slack and Teamspeak 3.

Slack is text based and is a very powerful tool for that. It's slick, easy to use, and has many additional features you can add to customise your experience how you want it. This will likely be more used by console players and replaced the old skype groups we used to use. Can be used in your browser or by downloading a desktop app (recommended), and mobile apps are also available. For additional info or support regarding NoDo's Slack, head here: http://nodo.freeforums.net/thread/3983/nodo-slack-support-info.

Teamspeak 3 is voice based (though there is a text aspect to it), and is likely to be utilised more by the PC guys, however everyone is welcome to join the TS server anyway to keep in touch. Likely the best way to get good quality voice chat going. Can be used by downloading the desktop app. If you have any questions about TS3, want more info on the server, or need any support, head over here: http://nodo.freeforums.net/thread/3979/nodo-teamspeak-server-support-info.

Both of these clients have multiple "channels" associated with them, meaning you log into the main program and you pick any number of channels to join, ie. PS3, PS4, Project Cars, etc. All very easy to do and any channel that isn't relevant to you won't show up if it isn't joined.

If you want more information on using both of these clients read the second post in this thread, but if you want to sign up I'll post that information here now.

To sign up to Slack
Post in this thread on the NoDo forums: http://nodo.freeforums.net/thread/3406/live-nodo-chat-clients-involved that you want to sign up. You'll then be sent an invite to the email address that you have signed up with to this forum. Access it in future via nonchalantdominance.slack.com, though I recommend you download the desktop app for better performance and more options. There are also mobile apps. All available from here: https://slack.com/apps

If you wish to use an alternative email address then send a Private Message to @driftin on the NoDo forums with the title “Slack” and your alternative email in the main body.

To sign up to Teamspeak
Download TS3 here: http://www.teamspeak.com and download/install the app for your OS to your computer. Once you set it up go to "connect" in the top left corner, then in the address slot type "nodoteamspeak.servegame.com:9201", and use whatever username you want. When prompted for a password, type "nodo".

Why the email address for Slack?

Your email address will be visible on your Slack profile.

The one drawback with slack is that the email you use to sign up is publicly visible if someone looks hard enough into your profile. This is in the process of being looked at by the slack team as something which can be changed, but for now you must make sure that you aren't worried about people knowing the email address you sign up with. If you are, simply create a new email account for slack. Trust me, it's worth it. Requiring your email address to be posted in this thread is a verification that you're happy to sign up to slack with it - if it's going to be public on there, you shouldn't be worrying about it being public on here. Again if you are, just create a new email account. Of course once you're on slack you're welcome to come back here and edit your post to remove your email address, so it's not here for the remainder of time.
