Neverjam

Heya! While Neverjam is still making steady progress on the -unnamed- project, unfortunately, half of this autumn was him getting sick and traveling… so a little bit less progress this time.

⬝ Neverjam started the autumn by helping Chorb make new chorbish friends:

In SpiderHeck all enemies fly because I never learned how to make AI navigate platforms, jumps etc.

I finally was brave enough to spend a couple of hours doing brain surgery on Chorb. They are still dumb as a bag of bricks, but its a start?

They are still stupid, but they can actually mostly get around the map. This is good enough for me to feel comfortable to start making real enemies... so that's nice.

The neat part - I can give them any random map and they should be able to figure out how to jump around without extra setup... which is necessary if I want the maps to be as dynamic as the ones in SH.

The ones that didn't make it up the platform were killed.

Behold, the cube. This little puppy here will turn into wall crawling enemies soon enough.

Set up a proper blood decal system. Unlike the one in SH this one is made in a less stupid way, which means - MORE BLOOD (without cooking your computer).

Character won't actually leave trails behind him while walking, I just needed a way to test.

Added a new version of screenshake, hoping it causes a bit less motion sickness as I've reduced the sway and made it a lot faster.
The shake is also less strong/non-existent if the thing triggering it is further from the camera, which is nice.
