For when you're tired of the Meta

About us

After hundreds of tours in Two Cities and Expert MvM, is MvM getting old? Tired of seeing the same team composition and loadouts every mission? Welcome to MvM Deviants! We like to mix it up. Random class every wave? We do that. All-sniper or all-demoknight missions? We'll give it a go! 3, 4, or 5-man missions? F4. If you're an MvM main and you like to mix it up, this is the group for you.

How it works

All members have rights to create group events and announcements. If you have an idea for a game, post about it! Join the group chat and invite anybody that would like to join you from there.

Rules

1. Don't abuse the announcement and event permissions. Do not use it so spam abuse to group members. Keep it to mvm.
2. Keep discussions civil. We take our leisure with dignity.

If we are posting our non-meta strats then lets do it.
Bavarian Botbash - 5 soldiers with bison upgrades only, 1 engi (easy game)
Bavarian Botbash - 5 Engies with minis and fully upgraded widowmaker (only lost last wave once)

Just did mannworks with a short pyro stack (3 pyros, heavy, scout and a gunsliger engi!). Scorch Shots wave 1, airblast wave 2, tank busting 3, scorch shot 4, and anything goes 5. Only lost wave 3 once. Thanks to Twinsen for the idea, and Mad Max, Kayen, ReTired and icetea for playing along!

Some of us just did Decoy expert, stock weapons only. Thanks for Jay for the suggestion. Didn't lose a wave and was quite fun. Got pushed back a bit on wave 5, (no scottish, no spy). Took some great engie work by Practice with all stock and no canteens. I would suggest everyone try it as a fun alternative.

Steev, you could create an event from the tab above. Give the specifics of the game. An event announcement will go out to members. When they click on the event, they will see who is hosting the event. They can add you as a friend, then you invite them through the normal means. Another way is to use MvM Lobby to create links to your party. There are instructions there. http://mvmlobby.com/tools.php
Personally I'm not a user of mvmlobby, but most everyone who plays a lot is.
