Sorry about that! For the last couple days we've more or less been in a "maintenance" mode, trying to fix some severe performance issues experienced with our server. Things are back to a stable place again, however we're still fixing some bugs here and there. Let us know if you experience any more issues.

Thank you all for your extreme patience as we get GMR running briskly again! As you noticed yesterday we had several maintenance periods where the site and service were taken down as we applied and tested various code fixes. At this point we're in a much better place and we believe we can keep things running smoothly now. However there still are a few bugs to iron out in our latest changes that include issues with turn notifications, emails, reverting, and skipping. We hope to have these all resolved within the next day or so and will keep you updated on our progress.

Sorry for the trouble! We've reverted your game back to the last correctly submitted turn. These kinds of problems are common right now as we work out some performance issues with our server. We should have everything running smoothly again soon.

If you created your game on GMR as a "Scenario" game and uploaded the initial single player save file when creating the game then you're on the right track. After your friend joins the game on GMR you simply need to click the "Start" button on your game's details page then the game will show up in the client and you can play it normally.

We're investing and testing changes as quickly as we're able and hope to have things running smoothly again soon. Hey Sartain, yes we've been having some intermittent issues with our turn timer and turn submits these last couple weeks. In almost all cases, reverting the turn back to before the skip fixes the state of the game and allows you to play on without issue.

If you revert the turn and that player is unable to load the game try reverting it still one more turn back. If the problem then immediately recurs or no amount of reverting seems to help we'll dive into the save files and see what's amiss. But generally reverting back 1-3 turns does the trick.

It is just downloading the byte array. You can check the Content-size header of the HTTP response to get its length.

No, your game should still work as long as you have the order of human players the same both in game and on GMR.

We do plan to open source the desktop client later this year, however it will be the newly re-written desktop client for Multiplayer Robot 2.0.
