In light of the years of disappointment and the downhill trend that Discord has brought upon itself, it's my intention to bring attention to Guilded for whoever dares to read this post. Essentially, it is a "competitor" that's been around for a while that has similar functions, except many more. "Nitro" comparisons are free, there are tons of features for those who love organization, and even Discord has taken some of its ideas (even if Guilded was originally the rip-off). While it's still got a long way to go, and it's still relatively unheard of, it's where I wish to carry on towards regardless of if I leave behind lots in the process. This is how we left Skype and LINE - it's the next decade to pass the torch just as we did in the last. And if Guilded goes downhill too, oh well - I'm sure not going to go back to Discord.

The only downsides I can think of is that it's still just another webapp, and ROBLOX currently owns it - meaning it's obviously not FOSS and all that. Even so, the features and current silence surrounding it speaks to me personally. Besides, banking everything on one platform is silly. Again, if Guilded get too spooky, I've already settled in to other platforms, too.
