You have to signup (login) with your Steam account. It's safe, the site will just check if you actually bought the game or not (hacked version aren't supported).

Copy/paste an example.

You have to own the game on Steam, which is the only way to get it legally on PC. I checked your profile, it doesn't appear, so the site considers you don't have a legal version and therefore prevents you from downloading anything.

The "put stuff in resources" way is for Rebirth/Afterbirth.
For AB+, the files must be in documents, my games, AB+ mods. Subscribe to a workshop mod to see how they're installed, you don't have to move it anywhere.

Reminder: Rebirth/Afterbirth mods are (very) rarely compatible with AB+, expect issues if you try that.

That's why. You can't download mods if you don't own the game legally (bought it). Steam is the only place to get it.

That's precisely why you have to log in with your Steam username on moddingofisaac, to check if you actually own the game or not.

That's not how mods are installed on AB+. Rebirth and Afterbirth mods are, most of the time, not compatible with AB+.

If you're not trying to install a AB+ version of the mod, you're wasting your time. Even if you manage to install the mod, it is very likely that your game will crash on startup.

Non-English characters in the computer username prevent the game from finding the mods.

I use Notepad+ personally.

Extract the game files using Rick's unpacker, read the .xml files (using a text editor), try to figure out what's their purpose and how the game reads them. Otherwise it's just image editing (and a bit of sound editing).

No coding involved.
