-It's an extremely wet fruit and too much moisture in pizza toppings will ruin the crust (saturate it and make it soggy and flaccid)
-It's over the top sweetness does not pair well with traditional skim milk mozzarella or buffalo mozzarella.
Because when someone orders pizzas with pineapple for a group, it'll be considered ruined for many people
I'm one of those many people. Or at least, it's ruined for me when that's all they order. I despise sweet things on pizza.
Pineapple and olive go very nicely together, the salt of the olive helping to balance out the sweet of the pineapple.
See, for me, that sounds wholely unappealing, especially since olive has an additional bitter taste. I just get two jarringly different flavors in my mouth and I don't find it very pleasant.
