EDIT: It doesn't count. No gravity.

Very cool! Thanks :) I'm not very familiar with this type of shooting game (I wonder if they have a specific name), but I think this one counts, too:

I love Furious Angels very much, but from my perspective it doesn't fall in this category, because it doesn't have gravity-influenced movement. Many top-down shooters have momentum in their movement, but this is not the same as gravity dragging down constantly with risk of hitting the ground. To not insert every top-down shooter here, I don't count games which lack gravity-influenced movement. That's the reason why I also didn't list Cycle 28.

Ah! I see. So these are combat focused games in the tradition of Gravitar!

Hm, no, Gravitar Recharged doesn't have gravity (a constant acceleration in a set direction), but only momentum carrying (keeping speed and direction when letting go).

Arcade Moonlander is a good example of gravity-influenced movement. It also has momentum carrying, so it's a mix of both. But its gravity is moon-like, not earth-like, so it doesn't count.

Gravitar Recharged has no gravity? :D That's bizarr.. It's the name-giving trademark. The original Gravitar of course has gravity:

Arcade Moonlander is based on Atari's Lunar Lander (1979). Gravitar (1982) is a mix of Lunar Lander and Asteroids (1979).

There is an old list dedicated to this "triforce":

I looked into your video and took a longer look at Gravitar: Recharged. Both have a light moon-like gravity! Well, let me be more specific with this category. I want this category to be like jet fighter dogfights on earth in 2D. I added "earth-like gravity" to the description. Heh, it's not that easy to define a category it seems.

Sometimes not at all :) However, it was not my intention to put Gravitar in the same category. It's just the grandfather of gravity-based shooting games. It also features a fully rotatable ship (that appeared before in Asteroids). But of course you won't find any dogfighting in it :)
