I'm surprised the Edna & Harvey games don't have higher peaks. I've played through most of the first game I think, but I was unfortunately affected by this bug, which made me unable to progress:

It doesn't seem to have happened to many players though, so I was probably just very unlucky.

I've been meaning to play Detective Grimoire for a while, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Crookz also looks interesting, and I think I bought it a while back, but that has also just been sitting on my to-play list.

Ok, I hope you have a better experience with The Inner World then. They switched from Java to Unity for the sequel, so that should hopefully have less of the platform specific issues.

I'm a bit sceptical about The Inner World, since, as far as I know, most of the cutscenes and audio don't work on Linux because of letter case issues. Or is that not the case anymore?

I haven't heard of Thaumistry, but that looks interesting.

EDIT: Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is on only barely over, and as mentioned in the other discussion thread, I'm comfortable with evaluating edge cases on a case by case basis. It's definitely a good fit for the kind of games we want to highlight in my opinion.

@Bobown: Yeah, eg. Crashlands definitely has very high production values compared to some games, but I don't know if it fits. Even some of the bigger indie studios do occasionally have commercial flops, which might be eligible for curating by our group, so I wouldn't rule anything out on that basis. As an example, I seem to recall Trine 3 being close to fit our criteria, even though the two preceding games were big hits.

Yeah, there's a setting to feature the list during the sale, but the other options are private and public, so I'm hopeful that lists will remain even after the sale is over.

I can't find any settings related to that though. I thought you admins had all permissions. If anyone has any idea where I might find that, I welcome suggestions. Maybe they just haven't added the setting yet, since the feature is so new?

EDIT: Never mind; I found it under member settings. That was hiding in a weird place on mobile though: I had to do a page swipe into a completely empty page on the right, and then scroll all the way up to the top to find a small hamburger icon to open up the settings menu.

EDIT 2: I've denied the non-Linux games, but I haven't vetted the remaining games for eligibility according to our guidelines, so make sure to do that before accepting any games. Borderline cases can perhaps just stay in the list for now, in case we adjust our guidelines (they're not set in stone) or their ratings improve.

Thanks for the tip. :) I went ahead and removed Windows and Mac from the list. I'm not sure if any of us are able to test VR, but I let it be for now.

I also noticed that there's a new lists feature, which is documented here:

We could perhaps use that for staff picks or something, but I'm not sure if it makes sense when we only have about 100 games, and not many active curators among us. I'm open to suggestions though.

We do kind of have a website that I was hoping to tie into this group and the similar Itch.io collection back when I had more time on my hands, but it's in a very sorry state, so I don't think it's worth promoting.

I think the traffic stats are new too (actually, I think the whole admin section is new), and that's very interesting reading. It's pretty clear that the first 70 or so recommendations from before we had nearly as many followers got very few views, and it's likely that not many visitors take the time to go through old reviews. So maybe we could use the lists feature to put some old recommendations on rotation, to see if that helps spread the views a bit. I have no idea what kind of visibility that stuff gets though, but it feels like it might be valuable to experiment a bit with.

Thanks for the suggestions and write-ups, Zyro. :) I think you wrote up a couple of games these past few weeks, if I'm not mistaken, and I appreciate it. I also enjoyed Anna's Quest. I haven't been able to play much of Spiffing, since it didn't run well on this old laptop (bought a new one, but it broke), but what I played seemed promising.
