Krita for free...
We've been offered Krita for free. X)

Do we want to recommend the drawing application (which is open source and part of about every Linux distribution, but offered here for many to fetch some money for development)?

My gut feeling is that since we're specifically focused on games, it isn't a good fit, but I'd like to hear other opinions.

I've experimented a little with Krita in the past, on the recommendation of GDQuest (of Godot tutorials fame), and I think it's a great piece of software. I also like that they're on Steam for Linux now, to hopefully gather some much needed funding.

One suggestion is one of us accepts the offer, writes a personal review. Then maybe we write up one of our occasional announcements on the status of the group etc., and include a shout out to Krita in it.

Yeah, our subtitle promises games so i agree it doesn't fit. It's strange to have a free thing offered for free . :-D

Nice to see you around, Flesk, you've been quite for a while...?

Haha, yes, that's a bit strange. :) I guess we'll just do that then, unless anyone objects. If you want to check it out, feel free.

Nice to see you too. :) I see your comments on GOL occasionally, but I haven't been very active here or there lately. I bought a new apartment in February and started in a new project at work in March, so that's taken up a lot of my time.

I've started playing a bit again lately though. I finally finished Stephen's Sausage Roll last week, and I think it's an absolutely amazing puzzle game. Highest recommendations from me, though it can be a bit frustrating at times.

I also played through Minit, which I'm not sure if we recommended yet. If not, and if it qualifies, I'll write up a recommendation this weekend.

Oh, crap. I should've read that before...! :O Sorry, I was using it for quite a while and liked it so when it was lying unclaimed for 2 weeks I just took it upon me to write a review and had to make sure Steam version works without issues. It didn't even occur to me we might not want to review it here. Should I take it down? (or did someone already?) I posted a review on Linux Users Exclusively as well where, I think, it fits okay.
